Living with Multiple Sclerosis, we face a lot of issues – not just everyday, but every second!â€
“I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2009 and this news was very hard to digest. With my wife and my daughters’ support, I’ve accepted it and trying to win over it. Walking difficulties have made me wheelchair dependent, my speech is difficult to understand and it’s a challenge to even have a bath.â€
“I’ve had Multiple Sclerosis for the past 50 years and the biggest tip I can share about managing this, is keeping the mind busy. We need to stay positive and in my case, I focus on what I love the most – spending time with children!â€
These are just a few of the things that persons with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) say when they are asked about the life-changing disease that they have.

What does it mean to have MS? It’s an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. It can hit anyone, mostly between the ages of 20-40 and there’s currently no cure. An MS patient is faced with several attacks and slow deterioration of functions. The Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (MSSI) helps persons with MS through physiotherapy sessions, scans and medicines, among other things.
Can anything be done to help persons with MS? Each year, the city-based photography group, Thank God it’s Saturday (TGiS), conducts an exhibition, where all proceeds from the sales go to MSSI to help alleviate this disease. Last year, TGiS was able to generate Rs 7 lakhs with a sale of 100 frames. The amount was donated to the MSSI Bangalore Chapter for the welfare and treatment of its patients. For 2017, TGiS is again proud to be associated with MSSI and hopes to raise more funds this year.

You can help support the cause. When you attend the photography exhibition – called JagaChitra – and purchase any of the photographs or other products, all proceeds will go to MSSI. This is considered a donation so you will also receive tax rebates under 80G.  The framed photographs are printed on special archival paper – quality that lasts for more than 40 years. These photographs were taken by TGiS members from around the world, showcasing scenic locales, culture, wildlife, nature, and people. Apart from India, visitors to the exhibition will see images from Bruges, the Swiss Alps, Arizona, Krabi Islands, London, Cambodia, Angkor and more.

Your audience needs to know that you are an entity and not a Siri. They need to know that you are approachable. Brochures show that you are willing to invest in your clients and customers. It gives them the confidence to invest in you, purchase from you. And just like that, your marketing strategy is a success.

The web is so ubiquitous in our lives—for both consumers and businesses—that it has become one of the single most important ways for brands to communicate with their buyers. And these buyers not only expect your website to be a resource, but they expect it to be personal, especially if you already have a relationship with them. So how can you deliver on these high expectations?

Web Personalization: A Critical Tool for Every Marketer

It all starts with web personalization. Effective web personalization makes real-time changes to your website based on the attributes of your visitors. These changes, that occur in milliseconds, deliver a personal experience to your visitor at the exact moment that they are on your site, which makes their experience more relevant and engaging. In fact, according to a study by eMarketer, more than 85% of internet users specifically expect and accept personalization as a part of their online retail experience.

Engage Customers Wherever They Are

While this personalized experience should stretch beyond the web, your website serves as a hub and “home baseâ€ for all kinds of web activity because most of your online channels ultimately lead your buyer back to it. This is because your website is purpose-built to engage buyers and accelerate their movement through their unique buyers’ journey. It’s the main interaction channel between your company and your customers, especially when it comes to driving conversion. In fact, according to a DemandGen report, 70% of buyers have indicated that a vendor’s website was the most influential channel in making a purchase decision. With web personalization. you can deliver a personal and relevant experience to your visitors based on who they are and what they do—whether that visitor is an anonymous visitor, a known contact, or a loyal customer.
As a consumer yourself, you have probably encountered web personalization before. Have you ever clicked through recommendations on Netflix or Amazon based on your previous selections and reviews? These are both common examples of personalization. Think about how convenient it is when the product or information you need is shown immediately to you when you visit a website.
